Terror Compendium

Meeting The Terrorism Threat, A Compendium of Available Information From A Variety of Sources With Special Emphasis On Chemical, Biological and Radioactive Weapons. Information Sources. Selected Papers and Articles.

After 9/11, I added a second Preface to the Disaster Preparedness Series books. As more information was available a Terrorism Appendix was also added. As I collected more information, the books were updated with a Chapter on Terrorism.

The data continued to grow and soon enough, it developed into a book-sized package. In fact, a 600 page book! Realize that this was what was left after I weeded out the irrelevant stuff. Most of it was to correct the misinformation that was floating around.

I knew that most people would not have the time to wade through all this, so I assembled it into a Compenduim and published it as a CD book, complete with Auto-Index (TM) for ease of reference. Here it is. You can find a topic with a mouse click. Simple as that. But once you get into it, you will click that mouse more and more.

Why is it all here? There are several important reasons for inclusion in the Compendium. For one thing, it puts all of the Guides and pamphlets published by several government agancies in one place, available to print.

Much of the information publicized is either hype, rumor, or altogether false. I included personal letters, published as open letters on the Web, from sources I felt knew what they were talking about. The greatest element of FEAR is the unknown. We need accurate information.

Extent and history of the terrorism fight. There are many countries that have carried on the war against terrorists, foreign and domestic, for many years. We can learn from them. Why aren't we united in this war? When you were a kid and one of your buddies didn't like the way the game was played, he was always welcome to go start his own game- I thought we grew out of that mindset. Obviously some of us didn't.

Who's doing our fighting? The various groups fihting terrorism around the world are identified. We are not alone, just new to the game.

It's a new kind of war. All the rules have changed and we must learn them. INFOWAR is altogether new. It's way beyond propaganda as we knew it in times past.

This is a war without a set battlefield and it has no rules. We fought this one once beforein Viet Nam and came out losers. We must learn what it takes to win.

As a people, we have always joked about everything, terrorism is no exception. What could vex them more than being laughed at? Send Osama a dozen ham pizzas, collect. Jokes and humor are distributed throughout the collection. We certainly need that.

This compendium is my way of improving our ability to fight terrorism. We can act more intelligently if we know what and whom we are fighting. As I said in the beginning, "We can't win the game playing checkers if the other side is playing chess."
